CIC emulator the obd2 tool for BMW after 2008

The new generation of infotainment is created on a completely new platform, CIC (Car Infotainment Computer) and it is a hard-disk based system, replacing the slower DVD-based units. BMW from 2008 introduced new car HD multimedia named CIC to replace old one after replacing the Car Information Computer (CIC) But with the new system coming to the market, existing owners weren’t left with many options. If, during the course of diagnosis, a CIC needs to be replaced, the only part that should be installed is a new part that has not been previously installed in a vehicle.


Note: The CIC enabling codes are VIN-specific and if installed in another vehicle, the Navigation System and the Voice Recognition System (SVS) will not function. Do not swap parts from donor vehicles. And the enabling codes that are downloaded via ASAP are in a compressed file format.

In the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog), always order the three enabling codes together with a replacement CIC.
